  • How did you get into homebuilding?

I started off as a realtor and apartment locator. That initially started me in this direction. When my wife and I bought our first home we had a chance to interact with the sale counselor and he really opened my eyes to this side of the business.

  • Where are you from originally?

I’ve been an Austinite since 1995 and consider myself from Austin (although I did live the majority of my early years in Kansas).

  • What is your favorite Podcast?

Well that’s a hard one because I do enjoy the Joe Rogan Experience but I also like to listen to Ted Radio Hour.

  • Tell us an interesting detail about you that many might not know?

I’ve been an active martial artist since 1996 and in fact operated a academy for about 4 years prior to converting over into real estate.

  • What do you love about homebuilding?

The different types of people you get to meet and build relationships with. Being able to work hand in hand with buyers in one of the most important decisions they will possibly make is a profoundly satisfying experience.

  • What experience would you repeat?

I would probably get in trouble if I didn’t say getting married to my wonderful wife! Or maybe the birth of our two beautiful (but troublesome) kids.

  • What are 3 adjectives that describe you best?

Passionate, confident and dry (sense of humor).

  • What is one of your favorite things to do in your city?

My wife and I enjoy going to BBQs/gatherings with our friends and family.

  • What is your favorite Model, Floorplan or Feature?

My favorite feature would be out spray foam insulation. It is such as phenomenal component to have in your home and it blows my mind why not everyone is demanding to have it.

  • What is one thing you want people to know about your community?

Large yards! We have 65ft wide home-site. So not only will you get a large yard but you will have a ton of space between the homes. I’m sure we all loved living should to should with our neighbors when we lived in apartments, right…?

  • What do you love about South Austin?

I love the community feel to it and how laid back and friendly people can be.

  • What have you heard or listened to lately that has inspired you?

I was taught to listen to something on the way to work that will calm you/prepare you for the day. I listened to Journey on the way to work today. What can I say, I enjoy classic rock!

  • What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Don’t quit! Just because something is difficult, and you may, or probably will fail, doesn’t meant that it isn’t worthwhile and you wont learn something from that experience.

  • What lights you up in life?
