Newmark Taps 30-Year Real Estate Veteran for Sales Leader Role
(Houston, Texas – Oct. 7, 2021) – Newmark Homes has hired Bob Kennedy as Sales Director for its Austin Division.
It’s a reunion for Kennedy who entered the real estate market as a Realtor in 1991 and transitioned to builder new home sales two years later joining the Newmark Homes sales team where he worked until 2002. During his early tenure at Newmark, Kennedy was recognized by the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin in its MAX Awards as the 1998 Onsite Sales Professional of the Year.
Kennedy worked with Grand Haven Homes and Toll Brothers in the Austin area, as well. He says today’s housing market offers challenges and opportunities.
Newmark Homes built in the Austin area for more than two decades before ceasing operations in 2009 when the company transitioned from being owned by a public company to a privately held, Houston-based firm. The builder relaunched its Austin Division early last year. Currently, Newmark builds in Austin-area communities — Easton Park, Provence and Rough Hollow. Additionally, it will begin sales in a fourth community — Headwaters — this fall. Pricing is from the $480,000s.
