With eight parks in the immediate vicinity, families and kids also have a number of options for play. Stoney Ridge Neighborhood Park is part of a developing neighborhood that promises to offer a ton of fun amenities for adults and kids alike. Richard Moya Park (just on the south side of Austin-Bergstrom Airport) offers basketball and baseball, while Barkley Meadows Park offers space to run and cool off by the shaded pond.

Food, shopping, and healthcare

Thanks to Del Valle’s close proximity to downtown Austin, homeowners and residents have access to pretty much anything they want and need. Right off Hwy 71, you’ll have fast access to Italian, Mexican, BBQ and more for lunch or dinner. Residents can take Hwy 71 to to Hwy 183 or even I-35 for even more options – or to spend a day having fun downtown.

Shopping in the immediate Del Valle area is easy, as well, with JD’s supermarket just south of the airport, Callahan’s general store just northwest and with fast access to Walmart and HEB from Hwy 71.

Hospitals, dentists and even veterinarians are just a few minutes away; just hop on Hwy 71 headed west and you’ll be to the closest one in about 10 minutes.

Convenience and community

Most people looking to buy in the Del Valle community appreciate its convenience; not only are they just down the street from their children’s school, but they’re only about 20 minutes away from their downtown Austin office. Even with traffic, the number of side streets accessible in this area makes it easy to get into work or school right on time.
