About Caliterra:

Caliterra is located just down the road from downtown Dripping Springs, where historic Mercer Street greets you with restaurants, boutiques and galleries, an old-style dance hall, weekly farmer’s market, and community events held year ’round.

Amenities

The Front Porch & The Hall

All trails lead naturally to this community hub. Meet friends for morning coffee brewed fresh by a local coffee roaster from Dripping Springs. Organize play dates at the Kid’s The Springs splash pad. Or just relax with neighbors and a glass of Texas wine as you watch spectacular sunsets settle below the horizon. For residents with a little more energy, the nearby playground beckons for adventurers.

The Treehouse

At the heart of The Treehouse park is what we all wished for as kids: An oversized treehouse space that provides a unique spot where it’s easy to imagine being an intrepid explorer, the captain of a shipwrecked crew, or extreme adventurer. Built among the thick, twisting branches of a group of 100-year-old live oak trees, the main treehouse deck space is complemented by amenities perfect for children of all ages, including:

  • Turf play area
  • Shaded-seating areas
  • Benches
  • Picnic tables

The Back Porch

The historic cabin is the ideal place to meet friends to go fishing, BBQ while watching the sunset over Onion Creek, or to enjoy a little kite flying. The community grilling stations and picnic seating are shaded and provide much needed respite from a long day. You can take a seat and “sit a spell,” cast a line off the fishing dock, or simply join in on the fun going on around you.

The Yard

Just behind the hill country inspired community hall lies an expansive open area. As the community grows, this area will be used to host events such as local festivals, Star gazing and more! It’s a great place for frisbee throwing, pick up tag or just meandering.

The Back 40

Nearly 250 acres of Caliterra is preserved as open space to maximize views, protect wildlife habitat and, after years of ranching, restore the land back to it’s heritage. And the 33-acre park is a perfect example of that commitment. Nature-lovers will savor this large, welcoming nature park with its open spaces, picnic seating, native grass and wildflower areas.

Trails & Parks

You and your family can get fit while enjoying Caliterra’s nature trails. No matter what speed you like–and whether you’re a jogger, biker or walker–you can take advantage of Caliterra’s own expansive trail system.
