Q&A DFW - Brittney Yost image
  • What is your best advice for new home buyers?

The only bad time to buy real estate is later! It’s the best investment you can make. Purchase a home that works for YOU! Often times buyers get held up on future resale, the opinions of others, and what possible incentives they can or can’t get. At the end of the day, what matters is that your home brings you happiness and that’s all you will think about and remember once you move in.

  • Where are you from originally?

I am a true Colorado Native who recently decided to take the biggest leap of my life and move to the great state of Texas!

  • What is your favorite podcast?

The School of Greatness by Lewis Homes and Crime Junkie to Relax.

  • What is one of your favorite things to do in your city?

Since I’m new to the area, so far my favorite has been exploring! The Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex is so large that I haven’t run out of things to do. I love the Stockyards in Fort Worth, the Farmers Market in Downtown Dallas, shopping and family events in Flower Mound, brunching in Aubrey, riding horses in Pilot Point, happy hour in Roanoke, dinner in Plano and just being around the most welcoming and sincerely nice people and sense of community.

  • How did you get into homebuilding?

When I was 28 years old, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to build my own home. I fell in love with the process and enjoyed designing it from the ground up. I knew I wanted to be able to provide that experience to others, so I changed career paths from the beauty/salon industry to Real Estate. I took a career with a new build luxury apartment community where I was involved with construction and new residents. Over the course of 5 years in property management, I was given the platform to finally fulfill my goal and sell new homes!

  • What do you love about homebuilding?

I love assisting buyers in narrowing down their perfect lot, and ideal floorplan, and turning dirt into their personalized dream home. It’s such a unique experience for every buyer and to be able to be a part of the process, adding value, establishing a neighborhood and sense of community, cultivating relationships and ultimately welcoming them to their brand new home on move-in day is so rewarding.

  • What experience would you repeat?

    The College experience!

  • What is your favorite Model, Floorplan or Feature?

The floorplan that would meet my specific needs and wants the best would be the Magnolia Floorplan with the Texas-Sized Covered Patio and Bow Window in the Primary Bedroom. It’s a 2,595 sq. Ft. single-level home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a three-car garage with a media room, and a study with the option to add a fourth bedroom with a third bathroom and a fourth-car garage. This floorplan is so bright and welcoming. It would be the perfect home for me to grow into and host/entertain all of my family and friends.

  • What are 3 adjectives that describe you best?

    Happy, Independent & Loyal

  • Tell us an interesting detail about you that many might not know?

I grew up being very shy. If you know me now, you’d never guess it!

  • What is one thing you want people to know about your community?

Trailwood is the pot of gold community you would find at the end of a rainbow! Located in the Northwest Dallas Community of Flower Mound and focused on nature, boasting rolling hills, winding trails, 45 acres of open green space, and a sparkling creek. Along with low property tax rates, residents enjoy an active lifestyle that includes an amenity center anchoring a resort-style pool, playing fields, and playgrounds. Young scholars attend the desirable Argyle ISD Schools.

  • What is the best advice you have ever been given?

As long as you have passion, and faith and are willing to work hard, you can do anything you want in this life.

  • What lights you up in life?

Spending time with my two pups, family, and friends, and traveling the world! I’m always looking to experience a new adventure and be in awe of beautiful scenery.

  • What are one or two books that have changed you?

YOU are a BADASS by Jen Sincero. Read it and repeat!
