  • Where are you from originally?

    I was raised in Texas since I was 2 years old, but I was actually born in Princeton, NJ, and spent my first years in Ann Arbor, MI.

  • How did you get into real estate?

    I worked for a brick manufacturer in DFW and loved the energy the sales team would always bring when they arrived at the office. It felt like a rush of excitement and I knew then I wanted to be in sales, I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to sell. One of our sales team members retired and later started working part-time as a home builder. That was when I realized that transitioning to homebuilding could be an option for me too. It took me a while to get my foot in the door, but I finally was hired as a Sales Associate for a national homebuilder. I assisted the sales team and online sales and soaked up everything I could learn about new home construction. I quickly became obsessed with all things real estate/new construction, so the industry is pretty much stuck with me for life.

  • What do you love about the industry?

    It’s always changing! From one day to the next, there is always something new and exciting going on.

  • How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

    One of the things that I do differently than most in the role of online sales is that I am out in our communities each week. I want to know what is going on out in the field so that when a prospective buyer or realtor calls, I can immediately provide accurate information. All too often we hear the phrase, “Are you just the online salesperson?”. It’s my personal mission to show that the online sales professional can be one of your greatest resources.

  • In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

    Dive into any and every opportunity that comes your way.

  • What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app?

    Do Instagram and TikTok count?

  • Tell us an interesting detail about you that many might not know?

    I secretly want to buy a house on a bunch of lands so I can have a dozen dachshund puppies, baby pigs, and ducks. If I could be surrounded by animals all the time, my heart would just burst.

  • What are 3 adjectives that describe you best?

    Determined, Ambitious, Creative.

  • What is the best advice you have ever been given?

    If a decision scares you, then you have every reason to do it. Growth doesn’t lie in comfort.

  • What lights you up in life?

    Connection with others! My wonderful and patient husband, our loving families and friends, and our babies, Dodge (our rebellious dachshund who loves snacks) and Paco (our sassy parakeet). The babies definitely take after their Momma. 🙂

  • Do you have someone in your life that has been an exceptional mentor? Who? Why?

    So many! I have had the honor of working with many wonderful people in the industry who have taught me so much. Just to name a few though…

    Erin Bradshaw, a coworker turned best friend reminds me to stay calm and collected in times of high stress and gives the best advice.

    Jason Luke, who convinced me to take a leap when I was scared and who taught me basically everything I know about new home sales. (Or as he would say, he taught me what NOT to do!)

    Chantee Brown mentored me in the online sales role and left me with such an invaluable experience.
