Lake Living in Little Elm
Are your clients searching for a small, charming Texas town on the water? Be sure to introduce them to Little Elm, a community about 45 minutes north of Dallas that rests on the scenic shoreline of Lake Lewisville.
Little Elm was established in the mid 1950s by Kit King, on the banks of Little Elm Creek. The population of nearly 200 in 1900 grew over the decades, thanks to road development to Denton and Dallas, and crops of new businesses. By the end of the 1980s Little Elm had over 1,100 residents; by the last census in 2010, it was nearly 26,000.
Little Elm’s residents enjoy over 66 miles of Lake Lewisville shoreline. City parks abound in Little Elm, including Beard Park. Beard Park sits on the lake and has amenities for everyone in the family: wakeboarding facilities, an aquatic park, nature-themed playgrounds, trails, and picnic areas. The most popular and highly-rated park in the city is Little Elm Park, where visitors can camp, picnic, and enjoy the beach on the lake. There are also spots for fishing, boating, and hiking. For residents with furry companions, Paloma Creek Dog Park is on the north side of Lake Lewisville. This dog park has lots of space for both large and small dogs to run, as well as a rinse off area for pups who get dirty.
Finding a Family Home in Little Elm

Many highly-rated pediatrician offices and dentists are in Little Elm as well, like Centennial Pediatrics and Whitetree Dental.
Busy parents can easily run errands with or without the kids in tow, thanks to Little Elm’s conveniently located amenities and businesses.
