(Houston, TX – Feb. 2, 2021) – Harvest Green posted record-breaking sales last year, a feat that boosted its rankings on two well-regarded lists of top-selling master-planned communities even as opportunities to purchase homes in the community have become limited.

John Burns Real Estate Consulting and Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) annually rank the 50 top-selling master-planned communities in the nation. The Richmond community landed at No. 41 on the John Burns report with RCLCO placing Harvest Green at No. 43. Builders sold 481 new homes in 2020, an increase of 35 percent over the previous year.

Home sales last year were through the roof. It was incredible, some builders had more than 100 people on waiting lists, eager to buy a home here. We now have just over 100 homes left in the community. And if we continue last year’s pace, it will only take a few months to sell them.

– Jerry Ulke, General Manager for Harvest Green

The builder will open two model homes in Harper’s Preserve.

Sales are expected to begin by the end of the year in Shipman’s Cove, located near Highway 6 and Fort Bend Parkway in Fresno. M/I Homes has 137 50- and 60-foot properties in the community and will offer homes from its Smart Series and Premier Smart Series.

This is one of our first Houston-area communities that will feature 50-foot Premier Smart Series home designs. This series offers more customizations for structural options like added bedrooms or a media room as well as more outdoor living options. Popular in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, we think these floor plans’ mix of options and affordability will be appealing here in Houston, as well.

– Jay McManus, Houston Division President for M/I Homes

The community is referring to these last available homes as the “Final Harvest.” Builders Coventry Homes, Perry Homes and David Weekley Homes are offering the bulk of the available homes.

Both the John Burns and RCLCO reports cite historically low interest rates, demographic trends and a desire to live in highly amenitized communities with access to outdoor spaces for walking, hiking, and biking as the reasons people bought homes in the top-selling communities.

It’s no surprise that Harvest Green saw such strong home sales in 2020. With its focus on a community farm and ample outdoor amenities, it is offering exactly what today’s home buyers are seeking.

– David Jarvis, Senior Vice President for John Burns Real Estate Consulting

Harvest Green is the only Houston master-planned community centered on community farm. Additional perks include an amenity center, the Farmhouse, which has a resort-style pool, splash pad, fitness center and playground. A lifestyle director and fitness coach plan events as well as exercise classes.

Our goal has always been to offer beautiful homes and a healthy lifestyle. That’s why we are ranked among the top master-planned communities in the nation. People want to live here. And if they want a new home, they will have to act quickly.

– Jerry Ulke, General Manager for Harvest Green
