Where are you from originally?
I was born in Lubbock, Texas. However, I was raised in California for the first 10 years of my life. So when my family decided to move back to Texas. I was in 5th grade. When we got to Texas, people would make fun of my California properness. Now when I visit my family in California they make fun of my Texas accent.
What was your first job in the industry?
My first job in the industry was volunteer work. Signing in individuals at the Brooks & Davis events. “There’s nooo jobs in real estate”……lol
How did you get into real estate?
I truly got into real estate to save my marriage. Like I’m about to take him out because it doesn’t take all of these meetings etc..lol!! I wanted to surprise my husband of 2-3 years at the time. Any married couples will tell you nothing makes sense between those years.
I took online classes at night. It took me 18 months to finish. Just because of life. I worked as a social worker while taking courses. It took me 3 tries to make the National only once for the state. (I think). My husband was very proud. I continued to work while working on my first deals, training through an agent coaching program with Margaret Harrison. About a year later, I was like I am ready to leave my job. He was like huh?? Things are going well. I was like I think it’s time… Needless to say, he wanted me to wait 6 months to a year and I just jumped again and put my 2-week notice in….. If I was his child he would have wooped my behind.
Now married for 11years!! My biggest fan. He is the best Real Estate Coach!
What do you love about the industry?
I love that you are able to help people of various backgrounds. This industry is built on trust, integrity and relationship building. Money is a by-product of your honesty and integrity. I enjoy being a change agent for others and learning from others during their journey. I say this because no one’s journey is the same whether buying and selling.
Tell us an interesting detail about you that many might not know?
I love to go fishing. I will catch, gut/clean and fry em’.
I help founded non-profit helping adolescent youth and providing resources to single mothers. We developed self-esteem, life skills camps for at-risk youth; serviced pregnant teens and their families, and young adults aging out of foster care.
What experience would you repeat?
I would repeat getting married and having my children.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I have exceptional customer service. I go beyond what is required to satisfy my clients needs. I am able to work through creative situations with buyers and sellers. I am approachable and relatable.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?
No matter what you know…. you always know more than the client so don’t be afraid. Answer what you know and get answers to what you don’t.
