  • Where are you from originally?

Born in Nashville, TN and grew up in Uvalde, TX. Southern Methodist University for college and then returned to San Antonio to begin a land development career that would lead me to New Home Sales, New Home Management, and construction of build on your lot homes / building on neighborhood vacant land.
  • What lights you up in life?

Time away from the office to recharge batteries. Be it fishing, hunting, time out on a ranch, but definitely outdoors!
  • What is your favorite podcast?

    Chip Ingram.
  • Tell us an interesting detail about you that many might not know?

I enjoy most activities outside! Hunting, fishing, boating, live sports and live music venues outdoors.
  • How did you get into homebuilding?

I got into homebuilding as a result of the Texas Real Estate collapse of the mid to late 1980’s. During that time development stopped, and we all got busy trying to sell standing inventory.
  • What do you love about homebuilding?

I enjoy helping families buy their next dream home and live out that American Dream. I love the smell of fresh dirt being turned in development and fresh lumber during framing. It never gets out of my system!
  • What experience would you repeat?

I think I would relive all of my experience as it is a culmination that has shaped and trained me for today and the future.
  • What are 3 adjectives that describe you best?

Loyal, Friendly – never meet a stranger, Consistent.

  • What is your favorite Model, Floorplan or Feature?

Our Locke plan is our Model in Sunday Creek. Proving to be very popular with lots of flexibility.
  • What is one of your favorite things to do in your city?

Live music venues all around this great City! Floore’s Country Store, Gruene Hall, Gruene, Freiheit General Store, County Line Bar B Que, Specht’s Store, and the list goes on!
  • What is one thing you want people to know about your community?

Well probably too much to write here, but City utilities, with no City taxes. Bexar County and Comal ISD and total tax rate of 2.18 per $100. Yet still convenient to all North Central locations.
  • What have you heard or listened to lately that has inspired you?

The recent Builder Boost Panel luncheon here at my Model with Agents and Sales Counselors discussing working together for the good of the clients, and to boost each others business with New Homes, and do it through partnering. It was nice to hear new and not so new agents agreeing that partnerships and building relationships was a good thing.
  • What is the best advice you have ever been given?

My Dad attempted long ago to encourage me to be the most consistent from day to day as much as possible. He was the most consistent man I ever knew!!!
  • Do you have someone in your life that has been an exceptional mentor? Who? Why?

Well not to sound cliché, but my Mom and Dad. Dad for his many teachings, Mom for guidance with much, but also growing up when she was a Broker and learning Real Estate early. And of course, not to forget Dean Nusbaum. One of the greats in New Home Sales. RIP Dean.
