Q&A SA - Jason Tinch
  • Where are you from originally?

I claim Texas, but I was really born in California. My father was in the Air Force.

  • Tell us an interesting detail about you that many might not know?

I’m sort of a jack of all trades! I proudly served 10 years in the United States Navy. I also played professional soccer in my early career. Then went on to Culinary School in New York, The CIA, and was a personal chef for Eddie Murphy and Catherine Zeta-Jones (to name a few). I also obtained my cosmetology License from Paul Mitchell San Antonio. This is where I met the love of my life, my wife Briana.

  • What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Don’t sign up for college classes that start at or before 8:00AM.

  • What lights you up in life?

Like I really want to give you a super raw, and deep answer, full of thought-provoking words…. However, this is what lights my fire: Drumsticks Simply dipped Ice Cream Cones: I eat 2-3 a day to keep my figure. I can’t and won’t go to bed without one. I sometimes eat dessert before my meal……

  • Do you have someone in your life that has been an exceptional mentor? Who? Why?

In every career I always tend to find the most successful person I can find, that I have access too. In the New Home Industry I would say James Smothers is my go to. He’s my Director of Sales for Bella Vista Homes and Princeton Classic Homes. We were partners at Sitterle Homes, and he mentored me, and taught me things that’s I in most cases would have never learned. He always told me to tweak this, and tweak that, and to always remember to love the ones who are in front of you. Always treat them like family, and always do what’s right for them. James always gives me tough love, and always has faith in me. He is the most genuine, and real person I know. He challenges me daily, and continues to be a big part of my current success, future successes, and James is a big part of my family. He was actually in my wedding.

  • What are some of your favorite things to do in San Antonio?

Well, San Antonio is growing so fast. I love the Andretti Racing experience, Top Golf, Playing golf at one of our many courses. La Cantera is super fun to shop with the wife. Six Flags, Sea World w/ the kids are just a few. So much more to do.

  • What is your favorite restaurant in the city?

I have a few, and it depends on mood. I love the Magnolia Pancake house, or Feast for breakfast/brunch fair. Love the Pearl area. Lots of good grub there. I love Grimaldi’s at La Cantera for Pizza. We are in South Texas, and have some of the best Mexican food in the world.

  • Bella Vista & Princeton Classic Homes: Tell us about your Home Builder? What sets your team apart?

So every builder, claims to have the best product, building materials, upgrades and standard features. When you block builders into a price range by price and builder, most builder are comparable. What separates Bella Vista Homes & Princeton Classic Homes? We start off by genuinely getting to know one another. We create a lasting relationship of trust, and truly listen to understand. I also tell every family who walks in, I don’t have anything to sell you today, so you can relax, and enjoy a glass of water, soda, coffee or a snack, at our Bella Vista/ Princeton Classic café in every model home. Our job today would be to help you, and your family find the next right answer. We may not have what you’re looking for, so I may need to send you to a direct competitor, or introduce you to a realtor who can find a pre-owned home that fits your needs. I think the relationships we create, the honesty, and the trust that we build at Bella Vista Homes & Princeton Classic Homes in simply unique, one of a kind. You can teach anyone the building process and plans and layouts, but you can’t teach compassion and kindness and the way we all treat our families at Bella Vista Homes & Princeton Classic Homes.
