  • Where are you from originally?

I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines and very fluent in Tagalog. I moved to the US in late 1990’s and lived in pretty much all major cities in California. My husband and I were searching for the perfect home for us for about 3 years and we were ready to give up until we came to visit my sister in San Antonio. We love the quality of life and of course, you can’t beat the home prices! My family moved to San Antonio in 2006 and were glad we made the best decision. We achieved our goal of improving the quality of life and happy to say it was a great place to raise our daughter.
  • What was your first job in the industry?

I started my real estate career as a REALTOR® in 2005 in California. Back then, Mapquest was becoming popular and I remember owning a thick map book to get me to my appointments. Back in those days, we didn’t have smartphones, so I can only plan on one appointment at a time. Unlike now, I can do back to back appointments!

My family makes me smile every day. They are my WHY’s. I don’t know what to do with my life without them. They’re everything to me.

I have always been in the sales and service type of career and real estate is the one I consider as my dream job! Real estate always fascinates me and I thought it would a great career to have co’z I love working with people. I got my California license in 2005 and I’m happy that I did. I get a different kind of satisfaction when I help a family with finding their perfect home!

I do sell real estate in the San Antonio and surrounding areas.
  • What do you love about the industry?

This industry allows me to learn new things every day. No experience is the same. New buyers/sellers/investors, different types of properties and situations fascinates me. No matter how stressful it can be at times, I feel that I continue to grow and be better as a person, and as a REALTOR®. You never know what problem you will encounter every day, all I know is it keeps me on my toes. You can’t put a monetary value on the joy and tears when you see a first-time home buyer walk into their home for the very first time. This career is not for everyone in my opinion. You have to want this career for the right reason. It’s passion and love that drives your work to be successful. You must embrace all the pains and problems that come with the industry.
  • How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

Passion and love in what I do, negotiating and problem-solving skills. In this industry, you need to learn to take care of your clients first and be there for them. Sometimes I do things that won’t make any money because it’s the right thing to do. I always believe that good karma will come back to you tenfolds!

  • What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Life is what you make it! You are always presented with options and you are the only one responsible for the actions you take. I have learned to be mindful of the steps I take or options I choose because I know that there will be different outcomes.
