Where are you from, and how did you get into homebuilding?
I am born and raised in San Antonio! Graduated from Lanier High School and University of the Incarnate Word. I transitioned from the banking industry to New Homes after I went shopping for my first home. I instantly fell in love with new homes.
What inspired you to get into homebuilding, and what keeps you passionate about it?
New Home Sales is the perfect blend of being social and client-facing while also managing the detailed behind-the-scenes work and paperwork that comes with the process. With a background in banking and seven years as a hairdresser, I’ve naturally combined the strengths of both careers—building relationships, understanding people, and staying detail-oriented under pressure. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in business, which further supports this role. Altogether, this career feels like a seamless fusion of my experience and skill set.
What's something most people don’t know about you that has shaped your approach to homebuilding?
I grew up in Lincoln Courts on the west side of San Antonio and didn’t live in a traditional home until adulthood. Coming from a low-income neighborhood and family, I have a deep appreciation for what it means to own a home and the hard work it takes to achieve that milestone for a family. That perspective is what makes this work so meaningful to me. Every family I help feels personal, and I genuinely get excited for each one of them.
What's the best advice you have for someone buying a new home today?
It’s ok to ask all the questions. The process can be overwhelming, but you have people on your side willing to help and explain the process every step of the way.
