If you could describe your approach to helping buyers in three words, what would they be?
compassion, connection, joy
What's one experience in homebuilding that shaped how you work today?
I showed a home (still in the building process) in my community 3 times in one day and on the last showing, a construction worker came running over saying “the skunk! The skunk!” And he told us that there had been a skunk in the house since early that morning. We looked over and the skunk was standing just a few feet away. I’d been in and out of that house with clients all day and never noticed it. Now I always check for skunks!
What's something most people don’t know about you that has shaped your approach to homebuilding?
Most people probably don’t know that I started my career as a fitness instructor. I have taught just about anything you can think of, and through that, I’ve learned to stay calm and in control when people are facing something difficult. Convincing a room full of exhausted people to do five more burpees isn’t all that different from guiding a family through the home building process. At the end of the day, I’m selling the same thing – the promise of a better future.
What's the best advice you have for someone buying a new home today?
Don’t let buying a home be scary. Buying a home is fun and exciting! The process can feel overwhelming, but your realtor, builder rep, and lender can help guide you towards the perfect fit for you and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
What's one thing you wish every Realtor knew about your community or homes?
Being the number one energy efficient home builder in the nation isn’t just a fancy title. We really do save you thousands per year on energy costs. Our homes are built exceptionally well with wider framing, spray foam insulation, and an ERV system that pre conditions and purifies your air before it reaches your AC unit. We also insulate the roof, so your attic stays the same temperature as the rest of your house all year!
