What Living in Cibolo is Like

For the 25,000+ residents of Cibolo, there are so many reasons to live, work, and play in the area. There are also a lot of local flavors to sample, from authentic Mexican to BBQ and more. And for the beer lover, 5 Stones Artisan Brewery is becoming a San Antonio-area favorite.

For Cibolo students, the local Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD has over a dozen campuses to choose from in the area. There are also quite a few higher education campuses nearby, including Texas Lutheran University, The Art Institute, and more. For emergencies, Baptist Emergency Hospital is very close, with other medical campuses available just a few minutes west on I-35. Family practitioners, dentists, and veterinarians are also available in Cibolo, making it easy to care for everyone close to home.

Everyday amenities like groceries and home goods can be found at H-E-B, Walmart, or Target – all of which are just a few minutes’ drive from the new home communities. Shoppers can also enjoy the Forum at Olympia Parkway for a mall experience and some retail therapy. Everything else that Cibolo residents need can be found in the neighboring suburbs of Selma, Universal City and Schertz.

With I-35 being so close to Cibolo, the city also offers Alamo Regional Transit services. This means residents can take the bus to work or school if needed. For commuters with their own car, the proximity Cibolo has to downtown San Antonio can’t be beat for the price. In under 35 minutes, Cibolo residents can be in the heart of San Antonio for work or play.
