When homeowners want to get away from the hustle and bustle of San Antonio, they might want to look at Universal City, TX. This beautiful area has a ton to offer at a price you can’t refuse.

Universal City Living

Five parks, two covered pavilions, softball and baseball fields, and an 18-hole disc golf course are all available to Universal City residents. With about 3 miles of trails, a dog park, and even a few caves to explore, there’s always a chance to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Texas landscape. Golfers also love the Olympia Hills Golf Course located right in Universal City.

With students attending the Schertz-Cibolo-University ISD or neighboring school districts, parents can find quality education for their kids right in the neighborhood. There’s also a large athletics department that keeps both the kids and their families engaged in wholesome community fun.

Enjoying movies in the park, trying a few of the local restaurants, and even attending local festivals like “SplashFest” and holiday events is part of everyday Universal City living. With about 20,000 people living in the area, it’s still a small enough community that everyone can enjoy their time together without sacrificing space to play.

For everyday home needs like groceries and cleaning supplies, the locals shop at H-E-B or Wal-Mart, with even more options in areas just a few minutes away. For bigger shopping trips, or to just indulge in a little retail therapy, Universal City residents can jump over to the Rolling Oaks Mall, The Forum at Olympia Parkway, or any number of retailers along I-35.

There is also plenty of medical care available in the area for kids, adults, and even fur children; pediatricians, family practitioners, and veterinarians all have offices in the Universal City area. There are also a few options for medical emergencies and hospital stays, like Northeast Methodist Hospital, Baptist Emergency Hospital, and more.

And then of course, there is the issue of commute. Many Universal City residents work in San Antonio or areas close to it, which makes this area a great one to live in. Universal City is just 20 miles northeast of San Antonio, right off I-35. This means that residents can get into downtown San Antonio in about 30 minutes!

The best part? This great area doesn’t come with a high price tag. New homes are building in Universal City right now for prices starting in the low $200s.
